CALGARY – Specialist LINK tele-advice will continue to operate during the holiday season but some services will have limited availability.
All services will be closed on statutory holidays, as usual, which are Friday, December 25, Monday, December 28 (for Boxing Day) and Friday, January 1.
The following tele-advice services are also closed as detailed below:
- Allergy Medicine: Closed December 24, 25, 28, 31 and January 1
- Breastfeeding IBCLC: Closed December 25, 28, 29 and January 1
- OB Internal Medicine: Closed Dec 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and January 1
Specialist LINK tele-advice, which is available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., connects specialists with family doctors in real time. Requesting tele-advice is simple; doctors or their team members can visit specialistlink.ca and click on the relevant button or call 403-910-2551. Physicians can expect to receive a call-back within one hour.
Please review our tele-advice user guide for more details about each service, all of which can be requested online at specialistlink.ca or via phone. The physician (or team member) requesting advice should always leave a direct line or cellphone for the physician seeking a call. The physician should also have the patient’s personal health number at hand and their PRAC ID.
